⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — A Refreshingly Great Stay! I had a really excellent experience at the Riviera Hotel. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. You can feel that they care about their guests, which makes a huge difference. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a smooth, easy stay. Inside the hotel, it feels safe, calm, and well-kept — a nice little haven once you’re in. The building itself has a classic charm that’s hard to find these days. While the surrounding neighborhood can be busy and unpredictable at times (as is common in this part of San Francisco), the hotel stands out as a reliable, comfortable place to relax. If you’re looking for a solid, affordable stay with great service and kind people running it, the Riviera is a fantastic pick. I’d definitely stay here again!

Great no-frills hotel with super courteous staff and excellent rates -- you're basically 2-3 blocks from the Nintendo Store, Union Square, 1 block from IKEA. This is a smaller operation than the larger hotels, which also means everything is faster, simpler, and easier. A+ for that.

This place was really nice for the price, very respectful and cool staff and the price was great rooms are very clean compared to other hotels at this price in the area the bathroom was in the hallway but still very clean definitely recommend staying here

My room was clean. The shower was hot. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was great. I will definitely stay there again.

The Riviera Hotel LLC is a typical SRO single room occupancy Hotel in the heart of the tenderloin. Beware if you are checked in to room 14 this room is directly above the owners living quarters and even if you are abiding by standard etiquette and keeping quiet past midnight you might still cause some sort of nuisance to the owners. This hotel is extremely clean the facilities are old and there is one bathroom/shower per floor but the common areas and the rooms are kept in cleanly condition when compared to other sros in the tenderloin. The woman at the front desk has good customer service and seems kind but as expected seems weary of Hotel guests I'm sure this is due to history of poorly behaved individuals. The owners appear to be of South Asian (India, Pakistan, bangledesh) Decent and undoubtedly have been subject to racial inequalities by occupants who have struggled with the rules. The owners appear to me to be family oriented, kind, and understanding. One serious problem I personally had was the midnight curfew. If you do not return to your room by 12am you cannot re-enter until 6am. I would recommend this location in regards to cleanliness factor but if you expect to be a night owl maybe consider other locations.

The Riviera Hotel is the most decente Hotel in da teanderline,Service is grest ,clean, relaxing place You can be. They provide the towels clean beddings and the Main think You are the 100% safe. I Travel from Europe and i thing this is not safe but once i stayed i fell most safest place ever.

Best hotel in the area, staff very helpfull, I recommend it. Very very clean and sturdy, affordable
